| Anybody who owns his own home... - 1.11.2001
During my last visit of my homeland I could not miss the development of new subdivisions near some cities. Not these big concrete buildings, but brand-new family houses, often with garages for more cars and even with swimming pools.
I could see, that the progress can not be stopped and also the tendency of many townspeople tired from life in cities and moving closer to the nature. This trend was very fast developed in North America few decades ago and is still somehow, even if not on the same scale and from the same reasons in progress.
Thin book from wellknown American comedian Alan King who lived through this early period, describes ironically and humorously his feelings, which, I believe, could be of interest even for today Czechs society.
